Confucius Chinese started as Chichester's most famous Chinese, renowned for its local touch and personal service.
We're a family run, independent restaurant with a twist in modern british chinese cuisine. We’ve been here since 1988 and we want to continue serving our community.

Traditions are kept
Using extracts of fruits and herbs, we make our own sauces in house. Over the years, we've mastered our Sweet and Sour sauce so that it balances between the sour of vinegar and sweetness of the sugar. We also created our own Hoi Sin sauce and many others as well.

We're open for evening dinner service with a wide selection of dishes and an exceptional dining experience. Hotpots, firey Flambees and Deep Fried Ice creams are just a few things only available when you dine in.

Annual Closure - Apr 2026
This year, we will be closed from 29th March to 12th April 2026. Our staff will be taking this time to recharge and visit their families in Hong Kong and China.
Saturday 28th March - Open 5-9pm
Sunday 29th March to Monday 13th April - Closed
Tuesday 14th April - Open for evening service from 5pm
